A brief bio: Julie lives on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, an oasis just outside of Los Angeles, with her family, three dogs, and hundreds of wild peacocks. She has been writing and publishing stories, articles, and humorous essays ever since leaving the workforce in order to stay home with two little boys and lots of pets.
This change led to a long stint as an at-home mom and tireless volunteer. She was a proud founding member of Mothers Advocating Prevention, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children and teens from abuse and exploitation.
The years flew by, and once her boys could make their own sandwiches and drive, she decided it was time to pursue her dream of writing fiction. Her first novel, The Long Dance Home, was published in 2013 by Mischievous Muse press, an imprint of World Nouveau Publishing.
If you’re looking for Julie, check no further than the quiet corners of her local library where she writes and rewrites and searches for the next dog she must rescue.
